Professor Rita Portela, PhD participated in an article aired on the CNN Newspaper on September 18, 2021 about the deforestation of the Atlantic Forest. This article was based on the scientific paper “Hidden destruction of older forests threatens the Brazilian Atlantic Forest and challenges restoration programs” published in Science Advances in January 2021, co-authored by Professor Renato Crouzeilles, PhD.
