Professor Mariana M. Vale, from PPGE/UFRJ, participates in the co-authorship of an article recently published in Nature: "Want to prevent pandemics? Stop spillovers". The article discusses how the prevention of the pandemic through environmental actions has not yet entered the agenda of major international initiatives, despite its low cost and potential to save human lives.
